Urban Engineering was created 1 year ago (2022) ,yet
despite its young age it has managed to evolve very
quickly and make great strides by undertaking important
projects.
Of course, none of this is accidental since the founders
of Urban Engineering Konstantinos Vassiliou and Antonis
Antoniou had years of experience long before they started
working together and one can say with great ease that this
collaboration did not happen but succeeded!

Introducing our innovative approach to projects: a
paradigm shift towards sustainable and
environmentally-conscious endeavours.
At our company, we believe in a future that balances
technological progress with a deep commitment to the
preservation of our planet.
Our projects embrace this vision, focusing on
energy-efficient strategies, resource optimization, and
the reduction of waste.
The concept of the future! What does the future signify
to you and how do you envision it? While our affinity
for technology is undeniable and has become an integral
part of our lives, relieving us of strenuous manual
labor, it is imperative that we shift our focus towards
environmental considerations.
An illustrative example of human energy wastage occurs
when we decide to demolish structures that no longer
serve their original purposes, opting instead to
construct new ones, often driven by the belief that new
construction leads to increased revenue and profit.
However, each time we dismantle a building, we squander
all the energy invested in its creation.
To simplify this, envision that half of the energy is
embodied within the actual structure, while only the
remaining half is utilized for functions such as heating
and cooling, which we typically associate with energy
consumption. It becomes evident that a comprehensive
approach to energy conservation is necessary, as viewing
the entire energy system holistically reveals that
energy renovations can conserve roughly half of the
total energy input.
Cities would be wise to embark on a path of reusing
existing structures, employing natural materials readily
available in proximity to a construction site.
Additionally, a crucial step is to increasingly harness
renewable energy sources.
The underlying principle of urban planning revolves
around the concept of collective action, which holds the
promise of recuperating most of the energy lost
continuously. This entails collaborative efforts and the
exchange of services, serving as the linchpin in our
endeavor to preserve energy.
